Migration Guide PTV Distance Matrix Folders

Rationale

Internally, distance matrix IDs are extended to alphanumerical IDs to support distance matrix ID namespaces for multiple tenants.

For this reason, the names of the folders containing the data of one distance matrix changed from ascending numbers (0000 to 9999) to the respective namespaced dimaID.

Conversion Steps

To convert all distance matrix folders in your distance matrix root folder (usually XSERVER_ROOT\data\dima), call the following batch file:

migrateDimaFolders.bat [OLD_DIMA_ROOT_FOLDER] [optional - NEW_DIMA_ROOT_FOLDER]

After a successful conversion, the distance matrix folders are copied and renamed to the folder "new" next to the distance matrix root folder (in case of the optional NEW_DIMA_ROOT_FOLDER you find them there). Finally copy the newly generated distance matrix folders to the distance matrix root folder of PTV xTour, xDima or xCluster Server 1.18 (usually XSERVER_ROOT\data\dima).
